Help & Support

What should a gift letter include for verification?

A gift letter can support verification when money was given to you and is not a loan. It should include:

  • Donor and recipient details and their relationship
  • Gift amount, currency, and date
  • The source and purpose of the funds
  • A statement that no repayment or interest is required
  • Donor name, signature, and date

Supporting bank statements or an official translation may also be requested.

Examples:
gift letter based on a property sale,
gift letter for a loan application,
gift letter with transfer explanation and bank statement,
and officially translated gift letter.
